Jan-Eric Mack works as a director and screenwriter based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Since 2001 trained and worked as a graphic designer for various studios. From 2009-2014 he studied directing in film at the Zurich University of the Arts. Where he has made several award-winning short films, which have been shown at more than one hundred festivals worldwide. He’s master film Facing Mecca won more than 25 Awards including the 2017 Swiss Film Prize, a Student Academy Award and made the shortlist for the 90th Academy Awards. In 2019, Mack shot the 3rd season of the successful drama series “Wilder” for Swiss Television SRF. In 2023, he completed the international historical series “Davos 1917” which premiered at the Zurich Film Festival and was broadcasted on Swiss Television SRF and ARD in 2023. He his developing two feature films: “Civilians” (Dschoint Ventschr & Iconoclast) and “Happy Family” (C-Films), further the mini series "Under the ice” (C-Films).
